I am also strongly supportive of the concerns of my peers' being heard and voiced to the school, so it satisfies me knowing that I have the ability to communicate that with the school directly as a member of ASGCC to make fair changes and impact students in a positive way. "I joined Associated Students of Glendale Community College with the expectations of developing leadership skills and learning how to communicate with a larger group of people, and it did just that. Being apart of the Relations Committee, I got to be apart of a collaborative and supportive group where we learned how to represent the voice of ASGCC virtually, as well as learn how to be a leader within GCC and help students voice their opinions. Being a part of ASGCC is a unique experience which I would recommend to anyone who wants to be apart of helping their community and school."

“I joined ASGCC my freshman year to get some leadership experience. This organization helped me understand time-management and improve my sense of responsibility. I am currently a senator of activities and even though it is not as high of a position, it still requires time and a lot of effort. I have to attend legislative meetings on Tuesdays and leadership ones on Thursdays, all at 7 Am. Even though some might think it is hard, gradually one gets used to it. Additionally, as a senator I get to participate and host various events whether they are online or in-person. Overall, this position is very fun for me because it gives me a lot of experience on how to organize events and make my community a safe yet fun environment for students and everyone else.”
