Armenian Folk Tales Club
Armenian Folk Tales Club
Mission: The Armenian Folk Tales Club stands for preserving and honoring the roots of the Armenian heritage. We plan on achieving this through the discussion and analysis of Armenian myths, legends, and folklore. The goals of this club include interpreting these narratives in order to identify their deeper meanings, the state of the society that influenced these stories (in regard to historical context and societal values), and how they now influence our modern day selves. In extension, our primary objective is to build a community of both Armenian and non-Armenian students to engage in discussions, share perspectives, and help preserve the meaning and significance these stories hold. Armenian folktales are more than just stories, they’re lessons which shaped those who grew up with them, instilling core values that have been passed down through generations of people. This club fulfills a sense of belonging for each member by providing a space for cultural exploration, connection, education, and storytelling.
